  • Saturday June 14th 06:00PMFor the last 6 weeks  group of comics have been working with Becky Veduccio developing their skills as comedians and working on 5-minute sets. Come have a laugh with them and celebrate their hard work! Two Item Minimum Required Per PersonDESCRIPTION:Have you always wanted to try stand-up but didn’t know where to start?Are you a veteran comic whose jokes aren't consistent? Need editing? Do you need a safe space to work out new material?This 6-week course will review basic writing and performance techniques including how to source material, edit jokes, and shape your set. You will learn mic technique, crowd work, act outs, characters, and comedy show etiquette (it's a thing!). This course provides a fun, supportive environment for you to explore your material and find your authentic comedic voice.The workshop concludes with a show at West Side Comedy Club, providing students the opportunity to perform their 5-minute set in front of a live audience. Still, he's also leveraged his excellent hosting skills to become an even higher commodity. Yet you can help funny people thrive.”-comedian/producer/writer Eddie BrillIn addition to being an internationally touring comic for forty years, and a frequent host of corporate events, Eddie was the Talent Coordinator for the "Late Show with David Letterman and former creative director/architect of the Great American Comedy Festival.Eddie has also been interviewing the comedy stars for the American Comedy Archives, and producing stand-up comedy specials for major platforms.He has been running a one-of-a-kind workshop around the world since 1998.   • Are you interested in becoming a comic? Do you need to brush up on your skills? Join us for Comedy 101, where our instructors focus on the basics, and students begin to find their voice and define their style onstage.Our 6-week course reviews topics including where to find material, joke structures, writing skills & stage presence, the basics of crafting a set, and how to be in the moment. The course concludes with a show at West Side Comedy Club, providing students the opportunity to perform their 5-minute set in front of a live audience.   • CLASS: Beyond The Basics with Brian Scott McFadden, a 6-week class
  • This Advanced 6-week course will focus on writing techniques, stage presence, and help you continue to hone your unique comedy voice. Every week you will have the opportunity to get onstage and receive feedback in order to level-up your 5-minute set. The class concludes with a show at West Side Comedy Club, providing students the opportunity to perform onstage in front of a live audience, and receive a professional recording of their set (please note recordings are subject to be used on our social media platforms).
